Der Weg einer Freiheit is one of my favourite BM bands, and their two most recent releases, Stellar and Finisterre, are two of the finest progressive and atmospheric BM albums of the past decade. Unstille is an album that would be a crowning achievement for most bands, but for DWeF, represented a stepping stone to their paramount glory. In any event, this is killer black metal that is thoughtful and aggressive in equal measure, its soaring tremolo melodies fuel to inspire weary souls. Ippocalyptica

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74

This album is just 100/100, like so many albums from mgla. How can a band hit the spot so many times? They are incredible. Thank you for accompanying me almost daily these days :) adrianradillo

I do not regret many things about my past, but I have made a few professional and personal missteps of varying severity over the years, including overlooking this band for too long. Stellar was the post-black metal kick in the face that I have been looking for and needing, and though Finisterre is superior, this album is so intense, polished, progressive, adventurous, and, of course, powerful that you cannot give this music your finger without it then taking your entire arm. Embrace this! Ippocalyptica
